One Month!

We recently celebrated Charlotte and Jensen's one month birthday! They were unfortunately sick with strep throat on their one month birthday so there wasn't actually much celebrating going on, but even sick, they are such sweet babies. We love them more and more each day.

Charlotte Anne at One Month:
7 lbs, 1 oz
Pretty Girl

Bath time is scary!

Happy to be wearing such a cute outfit!

Charlotte is expressive, animated and quite the little drama queen. She continues to go from 0 to 60 in about half a second, and when she is not happy, she definitely lets you know all about it. But she also lets you know when she's happy...she has the sweetest smile and always knows exactly when to bust it out--like when Daddy is feeling tired or frustrated, she seems to know that that's when she should give him her biggest smile. She seems to have figured him out and it's hilarious. She is social and so observant of the world around her.

Jensen Todd at One Month:
7 lbs, 11 oz
I'm one month old!

Jensen loves to hang with his sister.

Such a cool dude.

Our little butterball! He is getting so big and I love it. Jensen continues to be a laid-back little dude. When we feed them one at a time, he waits patiently for Charlotte to finish before taking his turn. He is such a typical boy--when we unwrap his swaddle, he stretches his legs and toots every time (and he gets the most relaxed, content look on his face while he's at it). He loves to listen when we talk to him, and his dad has started reading to him from his car magazines, which he seems to enjoy. Jensen recently began smiling and he has such a sweet little smile. But he has had a rough couple of weeks--first he had to get circumcised, then he got strep throat. I know he hasn't been feeling his best and it breaks my heart when he gets upset because I know he is not just being fussy--he is hurting. I have definitely cried along with him a couple of times because it makes me so sad to see him that way.

Charlotte and Jensen have been in our lives for 5 1/2 weeks. They are so different from one another and it's so amazing to see their personalities develop. They are hilarious in their own very different ways and I laugh at them all day. Sometimes when they are napping, I want to go pick them up and hold them because I miss them. We love them so much and can't wait to see what the next month brings.

  1. Marcy,
They are absolutely beautiful. I was bugging Brian today about seeing these two precious babies in real life or at least updated pictures!!! It worked! You should be so proud and what a miracle you two have. Many years to look forward to and lots of fun experiences. LOve the picture story, couldn't have happened to a better Daddy!!!
Can't wait to hold and cuddle them!
